Boat Tours

We will star at the wharf beside our hotel, along the Arenal volcano and lake. It will possible to see and listen to one of the most younger volcano in Costa Rica and one of the most active around the world ( active 1968), with 1680 meters approximately, and Cerro Chato, an extinct volcano 3500 years ago, after a huge explosion; its crater with 500 meters is a lake of sulphurous water, now. From the boat, we will see the strata formations thousands years ago, coming from continue eruptions. Later on, we continue beside the north side until the dam built on the beginnings of 70´s, and nowadays is one of the most important development that produce electric energy and the watering system from the north area. Throughout the Iguana´s Island and natural reserve beside the Arenal Volcano National Park and Monteverde Cloud Forest, arriving to the wharf next to the hotel. Along the way we will be able to see some of the many species of birds, mammals and plants.

Botanical Garden

WildSide BioPark offer an example of the habitats of the various species and ecosystems to be found surrounding the Arenal Volcano. The park is rich in biodiversity, and is one of the areas most sought after attractions. The natural environments and interesting layout of the park demonstrate a large variety of plants, insects, snakes, and animals. The highlights of the park are its butterfly gardens with over 55 species, housed within seven large atriums, and its serpentarium with 30 species of snakes living naturally within large glass terrariums.
